Nature Valley | Trailblazers

Nature Valley partnered with Upworthy to tell the story of “everyday trailblazers” who push themselves to their limits to inspire others to experience and protect nature. We produced a 3-part mini-documentary series featuring incredible trailblazers - nature photographer Carlton Ward, blind athlete Nancy Stevens, and conservationist Nick Ybarra - who are forces of nature that make a difference in their communities and environment.

As the creative lead, I led pre-sale campaign ideation and partnered with our production team on execution.

The Trailblazers: Carlton Ward

In this video we follow National Geographic photographer Carlton Ward into the swamps of the Everglades to record how he captures Florida wildlife, and works to educate others and preserve the natural beauty of his home state.

The Trailblazers: Nick Ybarra

In this video we explore the Badlands of North Dakota and meet Nick Ybarra, who leads a team of volunteers to maintain over 100 miles of the Maah Daah Hey Trail each year. The piece follows his efforts to preserve one of the most intense trails in the country and make it accessible to people who visit North Dakota from around the world.
